I recently had a discussion with an outfitter who suggested I try mechanical broadheads instead of my fixed broadheads. I’ve been using Grim Reaper Hades broadheads and they fly well. I don’t really have any complaints. There’s a slight difference compared to field tips but I haven’t had any major issues.
It’s been a long time since I had to fletch my arrows. Think back to high school long. 🙂 Alas, now that I’m back to somewhat regular practice I’ve managed to mess a few vanes up and figured it was about time to do something about it rather than to keep shooting them.
So yesterday I picked up the 2017 Hoyt Pro Defiant in Realtree Xtra. Unfortunately, I had to work this morning and go car shopping this afternoon so once again I didn’t have a whole lot of time to play with it.
